FASHION DESIGNING

1. Fashion designing is creating the garment using various technique methods.

2. Fashion designers create clothing, but may be they’re not a good stylist. They make a design or sketch design manually or digitally, then create a pattern, take fabric & trimmings, and stitch the garment.

3. Fashion designers create fashion altogether senses by understanding customer needs, behavior and market trends. They create collection that may be then purchased and appreciated by market & clients.

4. Fashion designers set pattern works well for brands, design manufacturing & marketing at large scale.

5. Fashion designer is one who creates new fashion trend through their unique style and styles for garments & accessories. Having creative & artistic skills to style their ideas on paper.

6. They coordinate with factory to make their design on large scale and also produced garments sold under their label.

7. There are some skills a fashion designer need to have like

• Understanding of trends
• Sketching & illustration
• Knowledge of fabric ,material design & manipulation
• Pattern making & sewing
• Fit analysis and grading
• Marketing & communication

FASHION STYLING

1. Fashion styling may be a styling a glance for somebody from a readymade set of garment / shoes / accessories / makeup etc. for magazine photo-shoot.

2. A fashion stylist is a person who selects clothing & accessories for any fashion advertisement or photo-shoot. For example, a celebrity may hire a stylist to decorate them for any event, festival or for his or her private life.

3. Their job description varies sometimes, they work on exclusive projects like music video, work as costume designer.

4. The stylist coordinates & style the client according to occasion using outfits & accessories.

5. Fashion stylist who works along with the fashion designers, photographers, brands or celebrities to often create a ‘look’ using designers or branded outfits, accessories & makeup & hair artist to bring out story & exaggerate designers story & purpose of outfit or accessories.

6. To create beautiful looks of wearer they have to master art of visual balance by having the ability to decide on right outfit suiting purpose, body type & personality of wearer.

7. They having ability to clothing & accessories for fashion shows, advertisement, celebrities in movie, photo-shoot, and mannequins.

8. The skills a fashion stylist need to have are

• Updated with trend in fashion, jewelry, lifestyle, hair & make up industry.
• Understanding of color psychology & body type.
• Being up to date about designer collection & product out for season.
• Good communication skills.
